In 2018, Vándorfény Gallery is celebrating 10 years since the opening of our Downtown Gallery. In total, we have organised more than a thousand exhibitions throughout the Carpathian Basin. Our successful capital and national exhibitions, solo exhibitions, Vándor7 events, catalogues, calendars, spring season openers have reached their goals:

Let's remember that 2008 was the year of the international economic crisis, but despite this, we managed to realise our common dreams, to continuously develop and to grow artistically. Contemporary galleries closed down one after the other, exhibition opportunities dwindled and, let's be honest, the financial means of your art patrons diminished:

We have thought a lot about how to celebrate the anniversary with you and the Artists, in a word with our Friends. We need a team, said Dezső Garas in Old Times Football, we need a theme that speaks to all of us, we said, and so we "discovered" the Hungarian sea.It is not by chance that we chose a quote from Mórt Jókai, his person is a symbol of persistent and continuous work, and his love for Lake Balaton refers to the theme of our exhibition. We evoke the smell of old summers and if we say to our foreign friends: Plattensee, Lake Balaton, they will nod with a smile.
"I do not paint Lake Balaton, but its world" - József Egry's thought perfectly sums up the essence of our exhibition, the emphasis is on memories and feelings, and almost all our artists will be present with their works. I invite you to an exhibition where you will find a lot of paintings, all of them related to Lake Balaton. Emotions, feelings, associations, moods, different ways of seeing and depicting, which will inspire our artists' brushes, pencils and crayons to work on our largest lake. But that's not all! Our exhibition "Wandering Light on Lake Balaton" is made even more unique by the fact that the artists honour the event with their presence, which is there will also be a public meeting!
We believe that the culmination of our celebrations will be an unforgettable experience for all participants!
