This year, more than a thousand works of art awaited the public who came to see contemporary art. Our passionate collectors have been preparing for our traditional event almost more than we have in the gallery. Understandably so, as the exhibition finally marks the moment when our customers can see the work of our artists from late spring to late summer. We welcome many friends and acquaintances to the V\u00e1ndorf\u00e9ny Gallery exhibitions each time, and it is always a pleasure to be with us for the autumn reopening. We made sure that this was the case again, with art on the walls and stands, champagne in the glasses, sandwiches on the plates and smiles on the faces.     <\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s not forget that with our autumn season opening exhibition comes the moment when we will present the unique catalogue and the new table calendar of the V\u00e1ndorf\u00e9ny Gallery to our regular audience. We still believe that paper content brings art closer to us than electronic form. Flipping through contemporary works of art is as much a pleasure as walking through the rows.  <\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve been preparing for a long time to tell you how we&#8217;re getting ready for our autumn event. Our artists create and prepare for this show from late spring until the end of summer, it&#8217;s no secret. In the meantime, we consult with them often, sometimes grateful for objective critical opinion, other times just needing a little inspiration to get over a creative deadlock. When we are in contact with artists we don&#8217;t already know, we visit artists&#8217; camps, seek out new artists, make contacts, so that we can offer as wide a range of works as possible to meet all needs. Once new artworks are in the gallery, we administer and jury nearly 2,500 works of art. Then our photographer gets to work, taking great care to take prints of the artwork and then doing the post-production work. He does all this in several rounds, over several days. Then we choose the frames, searching through hundreds of frames to find the one that fits the picture.       <\/p>\n<p>When all this is done, it&#8217;s time to prepare for the season launch exhibition and to work on the new catalogue and calendar. We work day and night for a month to ensure that the work of all artists is presented in a way that is worthy of our publications. We create detail shots, enlargements, gags, presenting the artist and taking great care to maintain harmony, in keeping with the style of the calendar.  <\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, of course, we run around, running errands, rushing our artists, sometimes begging, sometimes just praying that everything will be on time.<\/p>\n<p>From the 2,500 works of art, we carefully select the 900 to 1,000 that will form the exhibition. The selection is primarily thematic, and we aim to create a harmonious balance between the stylistic trends represented by the artists and their works. We have 3-4 colleagues working for 10 hours to ensure that all the works are in place.  <\/p>\n<p>And then there&#8217;s nothing left to do but wait for you, who are looking for something beautiful, something original, or something similar to something you loved on your grandmother&#8217;s wall and have been looking for ever since. You may also want a piece of art that you saw in the space of your modern-style office and were enchanted by. Whether your love of art, your interest in fine art, is rooted in the past or you prefer to drift with the new winds, you&#8217;re sure to find what you&#8217;re looking for here.  <\/p>\n<p>Our season-opening exhibition is always the scene of great encounters.
