As a gallery that celebrates contemporary art, we are fortunate to have a personal relationship with the artists who exhibit their work, as well as with the passionate collectors. Being at the meeting point of the triad of the fine artist, the creator and the collector is an exciting opportunity. The meeting of art and passion for collecting is a self-acting process, beyond our control, but we can follow how the first purchase of a painting becomes a way of life and a passion in a few years. Our gallery staff are experts in helping collectors to expand their collections, and they are also available to help them find and choose what they want.
The Kiss-Együd couple have been visiting our gallery for 10 years. During this time they have collected around 200 works by 15 contemporary artists. Almost all of the pieces in the collection have come from the walls of the Vándorfény Gallery. The development of the collection was assisted and supported by Maja Kővári, an expert collector from our gallery. The collection is of outstanding value in parts and as a whole. The selection of "Vallone" works by Endre László Szász stands out from the collection as a unique piece. Tünde Kiss and Csaba Együd collected 27 of the artist's paintings, which are known to be slow to complete, and there are also a number of large paintings, which further enhances the value of the collection.
Contemporary art is not the only passion in Csaba Együd's life. The collection shows, modestly, but also his passion for hunting, which goes back further than his love of art. Hunting and collecting have much in common: the challenge of the search and the discovery, the thrill of choice and discovery, and ultimately the joy of acquisition are passions that are common to both. In the collection, for example, the passion for hunting is represented by some of Kálmán Gasztonyi's works.

Although each collection is subjective, a close look at a collection can be an inspiration, a trigger, a starting point for a flickering passion.
The Kiss-Együd collection is a living collection, its expansion and anticipated development is full of excitement, as it inevitably evolves along with the new directions of contemporary art and the creative careers of artists.
But collecting itself is always a noble activity. Passionate collectors like Tünde Kiss and Csaba Együd, who act as patrons, are vital to contemporary art.
