Éva Bényi

Born on 21 July 1955 in Kunhegyes. His mother is Katalin Fekete, his father Árpád Bényi is a painter. He started his school studies in Debrecen. From 1961 to 1973 he was a member of the Medgyessy Ferenc Fine Arts Circle in the city. Lajos Bíró, László Félegyházi, János Kapcsa and András Topor guided his first attempts. 

His first successes were first place in the Indian Children's Drawing Competition and second place in the Sárospatak Student Competition. At the age of 16 he participated in the International Exhibition of Amateur Painters at the Ernst Museum. From 1973 to 1977 he studied geography at the Bessenyei György Teacher Training College in Nyíregyháza. In 1977 he was awarded the main prize for his painting at the National College Student Biennale.From 1978 to 1982 he was a student at the Hungarian College of Fine Arts. From 1978 to 1982 he studied under Tibor Bráda and Csaba Vecsei. 

He developed his final painting under the guidance of Tibor Wessely. He has been an independent painter since 1982. His paintings are characterized by a naturalistic vision, observation and elaboration of details. A kind of romantic harmony radiates from his paintings. 

His multi-figure shapes tell a story that the viewer can decipher. 

In his city paintings, he brings to life the cities of previous centuries, creating paintings of the bustle of the cities of the previous century using authentic documents. 

His paintings were sold in the Netherlands through Jansen Műkereskedház. His paintings have been exported to France. USA, Japan and Australia. 

His most important solo exhibitions were organized in the following galleries:
