Sándor Czobor

Born in 1954, he has been a sculptor since 1980, initially working in graphics, painting and later sculpture.

In the early 80s he became a member of the Young Creators Club of Szolnok County. In 1981, he was one of the founders of the Jászberény Artists' Group. He participated in several exhibitions with the group:

In 1984-85, he encountered wood as a sculptural material while working on the playground built by the art group in Jászberény.

At first he made reliefs and sculptures from it. Later, commissions for public sculpture provided a good opportunity for a deeper sculptural exploration of stone.
His sculptures are now mostly made of bronze, the most versatile material.

In 1990, he started to participate in the Art Camp International Art Symposium and exhibited in its early stages. In 1991, he became a member of the Róna group. In 1992 he founded the Kisújszáll Art Association, in 1994 the TenArt Art Association, of which he is the leader. He is a member of the MAMÜ Society and the National Association of Hungarian Artists.
