I am Zsófia Gyükér, graphic artist and painter, I was born in Miskolc in 1991, I have been living in Kistarcsá since 2010. I have been working as a freelance artist since I was 18 years old, and in 2017 I graduated from the Graphic Design and Painting Department of ELTE Savaria University Centre.
I'm one of the lucky people who have turned my work into a hobby - which also means that I try to do what I love to do to the best of my ability. I create with graphite, a mixture of pastel and watercolour pencils, as well as oil paint and, less frequently, watercolour.
My favourite subjects are animals, especially horses and dogs, but I am happy to paint anything/anyone that inspires me.
I am regularly invited to exhibitions, I have had several solo exhibitions in Budapest, but I have also exhibited in Veszprém, Sátoraljaújhely and Esztergom. My works have also been shown outside our borders: at the Louvre in Paris, in Rimaszombat and twice in Vienna.
My aim - although it is not always conscious, it is more from within - is that those who look at my paintings and drawings leave with a little more than they came with.
