Máté Kamarás

Máté Kamaras was born in 1976 in Miskolc. From birth he was surrounded by art, music and literature.

His father was a graphic artist and his mother worked as an editor and reporter. Her maternal grandfather is Jòzsef Màcs, a writer and journalist, whose more than 20 novels are available to literature lovers. There is also a pianist and a choirmaster in the family on his mother's side. But not only words, music and writing, but also drawing are in his genes, as his father's cousin is the well-known and popular cartoonist Attila Dargay. So it's no wonder that Màtè has been singing and drawing since she was a little child. In addition to her studies at secondary school, she performed on the stage and took part in drawing competitions. He was keen to be accepted to the University of Art and Design but he preferred the stage. And although he was admitted to the University of Fine Arts, he was deferred because of a musical scholarship to England. In 1997, he was cast in the musical Bàlja of the Vàmpires, directed by Roman Polanski, which had its world premiere in Bècs. From there, his musical career took off. A series of leading roles followed in Europe's many countries. But when he could, he also performed in Hungary. In 1998, the Operetta Theatre asked her to play Halàl in the musical Elizabeth. In the summer of 2000, she played the role of Tony in West Side Story at the Szeged Szabadtèri Színádád in Szeged. In 2003, she was cast as Halàl in the 10th anniversary production of Elizabeth in Bècs, which she performed for over two and a half years in more than eight hundred performances. The play was made into a DVD in 2005, which was distributed to many countries in the world, including Austria. What's more! In 2007, the DVD went quadruple platinum. Also that year, the Austrian production was invited to Japan. This was the start of Máté Kamarás' career in Japan. After many concerts, he sang the lead role in Japanese in several Japanese productions. One of his greatest successes was at the twentieth anniversary Elisabeth performance, where he was the only non-Asian in the company to sing Halàl in Japanese in Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya.

In 2014, on the occasion of the Year of Japan and V4 Culture in Hungary, he was elected as the country's Ambassador for Service.He speaks fluent English and German, and Japanese at a basic level.

Japàn's career soon began to take on a new look. Besides exhibiting in Japan, Szàmos also exhibited his paintings in Europe.

Since 2018, as artistic director of Chiabetto Tachini, he has also been involved in the creation of so-called "painting tables", which were exhibited at a world exhibition in London in May 2019.

They have been working with the Vàndorfèny Gallery since spring 2019. This is their first joint exhibition, which they hope will be followed by others.
