Nikoletta Király

"I think painting is a message. Thoughts, things to say, that the painter doesn't want to keep to himself. To paint is to transmit something. Something that is behind the image that is depicted. Something that makes it more than a street, a bouquet on a table, or an open balcony door. More, because lives and thoughts are hidden behind the lines. The painter who has been down that street, seen that bouquet, or seen that balcony door.
And for the viewer, who may live on the same street, or have a florist, or remember that they left the balcony door open at home.
But maybe that's not the important thing, but that one day the viewer will see that painting. And hear the message of the painting and take it home. Because they want to keep looking at it at home. Every day from then on. "
