Attila Kopriva

Born in Mukachevo in 1971. Painter, art historian, drawing teacher. From 1987 to 1991 he studied ceramics at the Uzhhorod Secondary School of Fine Arts, then continued his studies at the Lviv Academy of Arts, specializing in glass art. From 1997 to 2005 he was a drawing teacher at the Technological College in Mukachevo. From 2005, he was a lecturer at the Ferenc Rákóczi II Transcarpathian Hungarian Pedagogical College, and from 2005 to 2012 he was an associate professor at the Transcarpathian College of Fine Arts; he was head of the painting department (from 2008, fine and applied arts).

In 2005, he successfully defends his PhD thesis and in 2011 he is appointed associate professor. He is a member of the National Association of Fine Arts of Ukraine, the Imre Révész Art Society and the Foreign Board of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, among others. Founding member of the Carpathian Art and Cultural Association. He is also the founder and director of the School of Clothing Design and Design, a department of the Mukachevo Technological College. He is also the founder of the Museum of Ethnography, which is still functioning as a department of the Mukachevo Technological College. He currently lives and works in Mukachevo.

Participant of RIT exhibitions since 2007.
