Art is an arduous but joyful journey that makes us co-creators of the world... My hope is to become a mediator of beauty myself. The technique I use is based on one of the most ancient in the field of metalwork: chiselling and drifting metal sheets. I use steel tools and hammering to create the lines and ornate backgrounds of the compositions. The needle enamel or jewellery enamel I work with is glass coloured with different metal oxides, applied with a brush to the metal base and then melted in a furnace at 800-850 degrees Celsius. The fire is where the magical, brilliant colours are "born".
