Miklós Kovrig

"My fascination with nature and the fine arts began in childhood
was also very strong. Nature captivates you with its beauty and diversity. The themes of my work are nature, wildlife and hunting experiences. I spend a lot of time observing animals. My paintings have been shown in exhibitions abroad and in private collections."

Miklós Kovrig Born on 2 February 1951 in Páncélcsé, near Cluj Napoca. He graduated from the University of Forestry in Brasov. He then graduated in painting from the Folk Art School in Târgu Mures. He has been living in Hungary since 1990.

His works reflect his interest in and love of nature. His typical subjects are hunting paintings and depictions of wild animals. He is an acknowledged nature and hunting painter.

In 1998 he was awarded the Silver Cross of Hubertus by the Hunting Cultural Association. In 1999 he received the Nimród Award of the Nimród Hunting Magazine and the Nimród Foundation.

He has had several solo exhibitions and his paintings have travelled to Canada,
To Italy, Germany and Austria. Many of his paintings are owned by private collectors abroad.
