Zsuzsanna Szablyár

I'm interested in all forms of artistic expression, but what I create myself is defined by harmony, by the pleasure of the soul.

The painting on my easel is a window to a world that I arrange, in which I feel at home, and which I am happy to share with others.

I have always been driven by honesty and a sincere attachment to the subjects in my paintings, not by the prevailing artistic trends.

I want to provide a refuge for the audience, where they can spend time with me.

My images do not go against the fast-paced and often empty world, but exist in parallel with it.

When I'm looking at the countless shades of green and blue, and I manage to find the right one, I feel like I'm in the right place.

The landscapes, boats, rippling water surfaces I paint are made up of pieces of memories from the past, but they never existed in that form.

I was born in 1973, in Budapest.
My studies
From 1988 to 1992 I attended the Budapest Vocational School of Fine and Applied Arts, specializing in bookbinding and restoration, my drawing teacher was Katalin Csomor.
From 1992 to 1997 I attended the Department of Design at the Hungarian Academy of Applied Arts. My drawing teacher was János Fajó.
Since graduating I have been working as a freelancer, painting, applied graphic design, packaging design, and I enjoy teaching and developing children's art. In Jósvafő, in the Aggtelek National Park, I ran courses for four seasons. At the Molnár C. Pál Museum in Budapest I ran an art workshop for children between 2014 and 2016.
