Zoltán Rajczi

I was born in 1960 in Siófok. My childhood was spent in Balatonszemes, a quiet waterfront village. The experiences and impressions I gained here have determined the themes of my painting ever since. I graduated from a technical secondary school in Budapest. I started my studies of fine arts and drawing in a free school in Budapest. My first master was sculptor Károly Kirschmayer. From 1978 I was a regular guest of the Keszthely Artists' Colony. It was then that I decided that I wanted to become a painter.

I graduated from the Nyíregyháza Teacher Training College in 1985, majoring in geography and geography. Here we absorbed the mysteries of painting and graphic arts under the guidance of painters Árpád Bényi and Zoltán Valkovits. Afterwards I settled in Szeged, where I worked for ten years as a teacher of drawing. It was during this time that I came into contact with the farm life of the Great Plain and the magical atmosphere of the Tisza backwaters, but I never left the subject world of my homeland, Lake Balaton. In the summers, I painted portraits, my drawings can be found in several countries of Europe.

I have been on study trips to Italy and France. I am a member of several galleries in the country, where my paintings are permanently exhibited and sold.
