The “Sleepwalker” – Contemporary art in the heart of the home
Some jobs are simply more than what we are given to do. There are projects that are special from the first meeting – because they not only challenge us professionally, but also involve us emotionally. This one was just like that. A real “dream job ” – as we gallery owners say with a smile.
The gift of trust
It is always a great pleasure for us when a customer not only chooses a piece of art from us, but also invites us into their home to create a living space that radiates art. Such a commission is not only a professional responsibility, but also a trust – and we deeply appreciate that.
The common journey
The selection of the artworks is a long process that we look forward to each time. From the first conversation, we brainstormed together, gathering inspiration, and then came the selection from hundreds of works – one by one, personalised, tailored to style and mood.
Then came the choice of frames – because a well-chosen frame not only dresses, but also highlights and gives focus. This is a separate art within art.
The big day
Placement Day is always a celebration for us. When the walls, the lights, the furniture are there – and we put the finishing touches: the artwork. It’s when all the previous decisions come together. Placing the pictures, finding the points where they really come alive – that’s the real magic.
We have to admit, we were as excited as the owner of the house! (In fact… maybe a little more.)
The final result
And when everything falls into place… well, it’s a truly indescribable feeling. The space comes alive, the works resonate with their surroundings and something truly unique and unrepeatable is created. That’s why we do it. It’s our vocation, our passion – and it’s every “gallerist’s” dream.
