His paintings are characterised by strong, bold, clear colours and a serene choice of subject matter. Most of his paintings are landscapes, but he also likes surrealistic depictions in the pictorial technique. He has a great respect for the values of the past and the built environment. It’s good to spend time in his sunset-golden Mediterranean landscapes, to linger over his pictures of “peaceful” couples strolling through his romantic, fairytale towns. Along with an essential lightness, there is also a philosophical depth to his pictures, his tree of life twisting into the sky, almost bewitching, the tower soaring upwards with the birds flying around it, promising a distant view of the man who ascends.
He has participated in solo and group exhibitions in almost every major city in the country. Since 1997 he has been a freelance painter. In 2002 he was awarded the László Holló Prize.
